01 Roche Abbey

This is Roche Abbey near to Maltby in South Yorkshire. Lying at the bottom of a wooded valley. Not a great deal remains of this impressive building, although what is left is surrounded by a beautiful white cliff face and on the other side fast flowing streams. Started in c1170 and now belonging to English Heritage it is certainly a place worth a visit on a nice sunny afternoon.
